Allow liquor on domestic flights? Empty
PostSubject: Allow liquor on domestic flights?   Allow liquor on domestic flights? I_icon_minitimeSun Aug 29, 2010 2:50 pm

Cheers! Domestic travel in Indian skies could soon be saying that. If a group of MPs has its way around, you could soon be sipping wine or enjoying a swig of beer while travelling from Delhi to Mumbai next or anywhere else in the country for that matter. At least three MPs, who are part of a consultative committee attached to the aviation industry, are seeking a go-ahead on lifting spirits, literally, on domestic flights. The argument put forward by MPs is that this will help the vineyard farmers tremendously. However, Indians are not known to be disciplined travellers and more so those who choose to fly. Drunken, boisterous and lewd behaviour by Indians against airline staff in international skies is not alien. In such a situation, should liquor be served on domestic travel?
