Federer won without facing a single break point
Home favourite Roger Federer beat Radek Stepanek 6-3 6-2 to set up a semi-final with Andy Roddick at the Swiss Indoors.

Second seed Novak Djokovic defeated Robin Hasse 6-2 6-3 to face Serb Viktor Troicki who eased past Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-4 6-2.

After his victory, Djokovic turned his attention to December's Davis Cup final against France.

Will Roddick beat Federer?
"I've played every tie for last couple of years," said the 23-year-old. "Playing for your country is a different feeling than in any other event.
"It's the only occasion where you can feel the team spirit and proudly represent your country. We have something really special, great friendship off the court. This atmosphere gives us a lot of success."
Meanwhile, the Federer-Roddick match-up is a repeat of the epic 2009 Wimbledon men's singles final - when Federer triumphed 16-14 in the fifth set.
At the Valencia Open, second seed Robin Soderling set up a semi-final clash with Spaniard David Ferrer after he recorded a 6-3 6-2 win over Frenchman Gael Monfils.
The Swedish world number five converted three of his four opportunities to break the Monfils serve.
Fourth seed Ferrer overcame Italy's Potito Starace 7-5 6-4.
Saturday's other semi-final is between France's Gilles Simon and Spaniard Marcel Granollers.
As of Friday, Roddick, Tomas Berdych, Fernando Verdasco, Mikhail Youzhny and Juergen Melzer can still claim one of the three remaining berths at November's ATP Tour finals, with the Paris Masters to come next week.
Rafael Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Andy Murray and Soderling have already qualified for the event at London's O2 Arena.
