yes medusa and the basilisk. medusa was once a beautiful woman who lured posiedon into athenas temple and started defiling the place with him. because posiedon and athena had fought over athens and they were rivals, athena took offence and cursed medusa to look like the gorgon shes well known for. just a bit of information u might like to know.
